Dear Reader,
The feelings I have gotten from the Hill Cumorah Pageant experience are difficult to put into words. To say it was the most Spiritually moving experience I have ever had would be an understatement. To say that I know that the Prophet Joseph was instructed and led to the hill by the Angel Moroni, and that he was indeed a Prophet of the Living God and that his presence was felt at Pageant would be, again, an understatement.
I felt the Spirit of the Lord abundantly at the Hill Cumorah Pageant. Not just a little, but continually, day in and day out for three weeks. I have felt the love and influence of the Savior and of the Prophet Joseph. To be a cast member is truly a blessing, and my wife (and family) and I were very grateful to be included in the cast.
If you have not seen Pageant, GO! Whatever sacrifice is required, GO! There are other wonderful Pageants, but in my opinion Cumorah is THE Pageant, and it is true, as the Spirit will truly testify to all who attend. Think of the history that took place RIGHT THERE! Ancient battles where over 2 million men, women and children lost their lives. The ancient Prophet Moroni, one of the few Nephite survivors of that battle, actually hid up Sacred plates of Scripture RIGHT THERE! The young Prophet Joseph Smith was led to that spot to remove those same plates RIGHT THERE on that hillside! It is truly Sacred Ground!
To some it just looks like one of many beautiful hills near Palmyra, New York, but I know and testify to all that it was the birthplace of the restoration of the Fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in these latter days, and that fullness is represented on the earth today by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints!My family and I were cast members in 1999, 2000 and 2003, and will be again in 2005. This is an unofficial web site, but I hope that by posting the current 2005 basic information and then sharing a lot more, that you will visit the 2005 Hill Cumorah Pageant and come to love it as much as my family and I do! Basically, my purpose in putting this site together is simple; I love Pageant!
I will be updating this site often, so check back. If you are a former cast member I hope that this has in some small way helped bring back a few of the memories of that special event. If you have never been to Pageant then I hope this will inspire you to seriously consider going this year! When you go I promise you it will be an event you will never forget!Maury Riganto
